Meet Lori, Hospital Director

Lori joined our team in May 2020. She attended the University of Oklahoma, Oklahoma State University, and the University of Central Oklahoma. She holds a Business Degree from OSU and is currently working on obtaining her accounting certification and CPA eligibility at UCO. In her role at Edmond East Animal Hospital, she loves working with such a high-performance team! Lori also enjoys helping Dr. Johnson run the business side of the practice, so he can focus on the medical side. Lori has two children, Summer and Spencer. Outside of work, Lori is a group fitness instructor and enjoys teaching yoga and bootcamp classes.

Meet Jamie, Client Care Specialist/Veterinary Assistant

Jamie has been around animals all of her life and has a love for them all. She moved to Oklahoma in 2012 from Illinois, where she grew up on a crop and animal farm. She started volunteering at an animal shelter at an early age and later began taking lessons and volunteering at an equine rescue. Because she lived on a farm, Jamie has had a wide variety of pets including pigs, cats, snakes, parakeets, hamsters, dogs, ducks, chickens, turtles, iguanas, ferrets, fish, and even two raccoons! Her hobbies include drawing, painting, going to concerts, quilting for charity at a local church, horseback riding, and spending time with her family and friends. Jamie is proud to call Oklahoma City her home, along with her husband and pets.

Meet Kimberly, Client Care Specialist

Kim attended the University of Utah and the University of Phoenix and received her bachelor’s degree in business. She’s loved animals since she was a child, so getting into veterinary medicine was a natural fit! She has an extensive history in veterinary medicine that she brings with her. Every day at the hospital is a new adventure.  Kim loves getting to know our amazing clientele and forming meaningful relationships to guiding them through every step at the hospital.  She thrives on helping to solve some of their problems. At home, Kim has two wonderful children, Kalina Jo and Scott, that are her driving force.

Meet McAuley, Registered Veterinary Technician

McAuley became a part of the Edmond East team in September 2018. She attended Oklahoma State University-Oklahoma City, where she earned her Veterinary Technology degree in Applied Sciences. Choosing to work in veterinary medicine came naturally to McAuley, who grew up on a 20-acre farm with various animal species. In 2016 she got to help deliver piglets at the State Fair, and in 2017 she helped deliver Golden Retriever puppies. Her favorite aspect of working with us is communicating with our clients and letting them know it’s our job to care for their pets as if they were our own. Some of McAuley’s favorite tasks as a technician include placing IV catheters and doing laboratory work.

Meet Ashley, Registered Veterinary Technician

Ashley attended Oklahoma State University – Stillwater where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in agribusiness. She also earned an associate degree from Oklahoma State University – Oklahoma City in veterinary technology and another Bachelor of Science in animal science from West Texas A&M. Ashley became an RVT in 2018 and is also RECOVER certified in both Basic Life Support and Advanced Life Support. One of the most interesting experiences in Ashley’s career was traveling to Mongolia to help train veterinarians and technicians there. In her current role, Ashley enjoys applying the knowledge she learned in school and also working with such a close team. Forming relationships with clients is a priority for her as well!

Outside of work, Ashely enjoys spending time with her church family and reading. She also plays the oboe in her church orchestra and is a part of the Christian Veterinary Mission.

Meet Kelsey, Registered Veterinary Technician

Kelsey received her Associate in Applied Science from Northern Oklahoma College in Tonkawa, her Associate in Veterinary Technology from OSU-OKC and her Bachelor of Science in Zoology from Oklahoma State University. She chose a career in veterinary medicine because this is all she has ever wanted to do. She has a huge love for animals and wants to help them in any way possible. Her favorite aspects of working at the hospital include performing diagnostics and surgery preparation. Providing the patients with comfort and tenderness during their care is priority and that includes kisses! Kelsey and her fiancé, Jacob, are getting married this year and hope to add a kitten to their family soon!

Meet Torri, Veterinary Assistant

Torri is currently attending the University of Central Oklahoma and is studying communications. She wants to be able to help kids improve their speech and instill confidence so they can achieve their dreams. In her current role, she enjoys providing the best care for her patients.  As a veterinary assistant, she provides care and comfort during their treatment, including belly rubs! She enjoys learning more every day from the veterinarians and technicians! Outside of work, Torri loves spending time with her family and swimming with friends.  She is also a certified lifeguard.

Meet Breanna, Veterinary Assistant

Breanna is currently attending Brigham Young University – Idaho remotely.  She is focusing on general studies as a freshman, but her future aspiration is directed toward a career involving animals.  In her role at Edmond East, Breanna loves getting to work with amazing people and being around animals every day!  She also appreciates the generosity and kindness of the Edmond East crew toward our clients, patients and team members.  She wants to take what she learns here with her into her future career.
