Rachel Vazquez, DVM

Dr. Rachel Vazquez attended Oklahoma Christian University where she received a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Spanish. She received her doctorate from Oklahoma State University in 2013. Dr. Vazquez became a veterinarian because of the importance and impact of the human-animal bond. She also loves the combination of science and medicine. One reason Dr. Vazquez chose this career is because animals have given her so much joy in life. She sees veterinary medicine reflect God as our Creator, which continues to increase her faith.

In her role with Edmond East Animal Hospital, Dr. Vazquez’s favorite aspect of her job is seeing her patients get better and making their owners happy in the process. She is especially skilled in ultrasound, dentistry, clinical pathology and cytology. Her priority is being a caring and compassionate advocate for both her patients and clients.

At home, Dr. Vazquez and her husband, Gregorio, have three children, Adler, Evanna and Tristan. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, gardening, exercising, participating in church activities, planning activities for her preschooler, watching movies and traveling.
