Gwen Veterinary Assistant

Gwen is a Veterinary Assistant who enjoys helping pets feel better and getting to know the personality and story behind each patient. Her first dog, Frankie, helped inspire her interest in veterinary medicine, and she is currently studying veterinary technology at OSU-OKC after attending the University of Central Oklahoma. She hopes to continue her education and earn a bachelor’s degree in the future.

One of Gwen’s favorite parts of the job is working with a team of people who care deeply about animals. She also enjoys the variety that comes with veterinary medicine and has had the chance to meet some memorable patients, including a banana ball python and a bearded dragon.

Outside of work, Gwen enjoys spending time with her fiancé, Josiah, and their two Boston Terriers, Milo and Iggy. She likes sketching, decorating, trying new foods, working on DIY projects, and learning new things. She also played trumpet for nearly 10 years and was part of UCO’s top jazz ensemble.
